21 Divisions Dominican Voodoo originated from religion in Africa, brought to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The 21 Divisions Dominican Voodoo is a very mysterious, magical, and powerful religion. This religion is kept very secretive, the initiates are the ones who are bestowed with knowledge from the spirits known as the Mysteries (Misterioso) or Loa’s. There are three main divisions, and each has seven parts, making up the 21 Divisions. The primary focus is to align an individual’s spiritual destiny, allowing for spiritual development and to become a spiritual medium (spirit reading) and also speak directly to the Loa’s.
The Yoruba religion originated in, West Africa, Nigeria during the slave trade in the colonial period and developed throughout the Caribbean. The supreme God known as Olodumare created all things with the delegation and assistance of Olofin (venerated as Jesus) and the Orishas (Saints). When initiating into the religion you converse with all the Orisha’s who will explain your past, present, and future (such as a spirit reading). For spiritual development, the Primary focus is to fulfill Ayanmo (your destiny or fate). First you must have Iwa Pele (good character), a person who is respectful, humble, compassionate, and who integrates these qualities into their daily lives. Once you achieve Iwa Pele and fulfill Ayanmo, you transcend closer to God.
Palo Mayombe is Kongo-derived, originating from Central Africa & developed in the Caribbean during the transatlantic slave trade. Traditions are passed orally, venerating spirits, rituals, & deep connection to the spiritual world. The belief in natural (earth) powers, and that all natural objects have power. The spirits are intermediaries between Humans & the spirit realms. The spirits provide insight, healing & support to practitioners through divination (spirit reading). Denominations include Palo Mayombe, Monte, Briyumba, & Kimbasa are included in religions of the world.
