In Dominican Voodoo religious tradition, the Loa Gede Nibo is associated with Saint Expedite. You can usually find this very powerful spirit in the cemetery where they are digging graves and in the hospitals just walking around and waiting for people to die. The spirit Papa Gede Nibo is the head of all the rest of the other Gede spirits pantheon working and living in the cemetery. Unlike Haitian voodoo, Papa Gede rarely comes to give out spiritual advice during a traditional religious ritual. Papa Gede has been known to give out lucky lottery numbers and likes money and gambling. He is often times petitioned by initiates for such things as to bring them luck in games of fortune and to remove the sadness when someone dies.
